With this post I am caught up!! Yay! For week 11 I chose 'Before and After'. I had the honor of taking the Hartman family's photos last weekend - sometimes it can be very difficult to get an entire family together between work schedules, kid's schedules and just life being busy but Nicole was able to pull this all together and I was happy to be able to photograph their family.
It was an absolutely gorgeous March day, in the 60s and sunny - we couldn't have asked for a better day. For me, photos always have a special meaning (hence the reason I do what I do!) but right now, for the Hartman's, these photos are priceless. Al and Alda have been married 54 years, have three children, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. What a truly special day this was!!
I've got to be honest, when I was editing these photos, I was touched and got a little teary a time or two. As a friend pointed out to me, it's not egotistical to think or feel that, it just means I'm doing this for the right reasons. I believe that and only hope it carries over to the final product and the reactions from those I photograph. :)
